The Director of Product Management was a new role for CPI, taking responsibility for the commercial success of new and revised programmes and products internationally. CPI needed an international product lead, working with sales, marketing, instructors and directly with customers to identify unmet needs and to define opportunities for new or enhanced programmes.

 

The CPI is an inspiring place, creating person-centred approaches to crisis prevention that reduce the need for restraintrestrictive practices in a wide range of industries, so Roger and his team didn’t want someone from a traditional training background. They needed a lateral thinker with an entrepreneurial flair, who was happy to work internationally in a business that was largely remote. The opportunity had the excitement and pace of a scale up but within an established, highly successful business. They had experienced the wrong cultural fit with a previous hire and so it was absolutely critical to find the right person for their coaching-led, progressive environment.
