This is an exciting interim opportunity to help a brilliant organisation shape their internal and external communications strategy and function.
ABOUT THE COMPANY - This organisation is focused on helping to close the inequality gap using innovations in data science, research and private and public sector partnerships to build and scale tools and solutions to deliver systemic change
- They are now looking to build their communications strategy and function to drive engagement and influence to support their work
ABOUT THE ROLE
In the role of Head of Communications you will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering a strategic communications framework that includes both internal and external audiences covering everything from partner engagement to crisis comms and events
- Create a stakeholder strategy external partners, government agencies and investors
- Build tailored value propositions and messaging for different stakeholders including a detailed editorial calendar of on and offline content and thought leadership
- Define, track and report on comms and influence KPIs including reach
and engagement, stakeholder conversions, event outcomes, inbound
partnership interest, policy engagement - You will be responsible for delivering the comms strategy and mapping out a structure for a small comms team
ABOUT YOU
In order to be considered for the role of Head of Communications, you MUST have the following AND be able to commit to 2-3 days in an office in either London or Edinburgh:
- 7+ years’ experience in a strategic communications role
- Proven experience working in internal and external communications roles in non profit and public sectors delivering integrated comms programmes including owned channels (website, newsletters, social), earned opportunities, media and PR, events and partnerships
- Proven leadership experience managing diverse range of stakeholders,
- Experience working with leadership team & translating organisational
objectives into communications deliverables. - Understanding of the UK’s public health, education, welfare public and
private system
