Opportunity to own and shape the innovation agenda within an FMCG business in central London

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is a well-established FMCG business with ambitious plans for innovation-led growth. They are passionate about developing products that genuinely meet consumer needs and create value for customers, retailers and the business alike. 
As they continue to expand their innovation pipeline, they are looking for an Innovation Manager to take ownership of new product development from insight through to launch, helping bring commercially successful products to market. This is the hybrid role based three days a week in the office in central London and two days from home. 

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Brand Manager or Senior Brand Manager looking to take ownership of the end-to-end innovation process within a fast-paced FMCG environment. You'll play a pivotal role in identifying new growth opportunities, shaping product propositions, building robust business cases and leading cross-functional teams to deliver successful launches. Working closely with Sales, R&D, Operations and Finance, you'll ensure ideas are translated into commercially viable products that win listings, drive repeat purchase and support long-term business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Identifying and prioritising innovation opportunities through consumer, customer and category insight.
  • Leading the development of compelling propositions, product briefs and commercial business cases.
  • Managing projects through the full innovation lifecycle, from concept through to launch.
  • Working cross-functionally to ensure products are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard.
  • Partnering with Sales to create customer-ready selling stories and support retailer conversations.
  • Developing go-to-market strategies that maximise distribution and commercial success.
  • Monitoring launch performance and making recommendations to optimise sales, profitability and growth.
  • Ensuring brand consistency across product, packaging and customer-facing materials.

ABOUT YOU
You'll bring experience from an FMCG or consumer products environment and have a strong track record of delivering successful innovation projects from insight to launch. We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen and the ability to make things happen.
You'll ideally have:
  • Experience in innovation, brand marketing, product marketing or commercial marketing within FMCG.
  • Strong understanding of consumer insight, category trends and retail dynamics.
  • Experience building business cases, pricing strategies and launch plans.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Confidence influencing stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations and Finance.
