ABOUT THE ROLEAs Head of Sales, you’ll take full ownership of the sales function and sit on the senior leadership team, shaping not just sales strategy but how the wider business operates. This is
not a plug-and-play environment. The sales function has grown organically and now needs a confident, pragmatic leader to bring greater clarity, structure and alignment, without breaking what already works.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership of the entire sales function as a member of the senior management team.
- Lead and develop the internal sales function through the Internal Sales Office Manager, ensuring clear priorities, capability development, and performance management.
- Direct the external sales team, including Business Development Managers and part-time support in Ireland, to drive new business and account growth.
- Review, evaluate, and evolve the current sales structure, ways of working, and team alignment to support scalability and performance.
- Design and implement clear performance frameworks, targets, and reporting to improve visibility, accountability, and results.
- Strengthen collaboration and alignment between internal and external sales teams to deliver a joined-up customer approach.
- Work closely with the Commercial Director, Operations Director and Marketing teams to execute the wider business strategy.
ABOUT YOUTo be considered for this Head of Sales role you will have proven experience as a Sales Manager or Head of Sales in a B2B sales function. As well as
- The ability to operate effectively at both a strategic level and in a hands-on, delivery-focused capacity.
- Demonstrated experience leading change and improvement within a B2B sales function, including introducing greater structure, consistency, and performance focus.
- Resilient, adaptable, and open-minded, with the confidence to operate in a business that is evolving and scaling rather than fully formed.
- A strong relationship builder, able to quickly establish trust and credibility with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers.
