THE ROLE As a recruitment consultant yourself, you already know the role well. It’s pretty straightforward – you have to find new clients to work with, then find the right job for candidates and the right candidates for jobs. However, at Stopgap it’s about ‘how’ you go about doing this that makes us as a business, as well as your day-to-day working life, different. We go out of our way to really understand our candidates and ensure we are offering our clients a top-notch service, keeping up to date with industry news, trends and the latest in talent attraction thinking and processes.
You will be responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle for all marketing roles in the Financial Services sector, from sourcing and interviewing candidates, to managing client relationships and making great placements. You’ll also play a key role building up this sector and driving business development to build on our already strong client base.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Business development – continually build out your sector by proactively identifying, pursuing, and obtaining new business opportunities. Stay informed of your market by keeping up to date with industry trends, networking and attending industry events
- Client management – maintaining a reputation of being an expert in your field, building deep relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored recruitment solutions to ensure you’re the first person they call when they have a new role they need help with
- Candidate support – sourcing candidates through a variety of channels including job boards, social media, networking, and screening and interviewing them to ensure you can accurately match the right jobs for candidates and vice versa. Building long-lasting candidate relationships, you will be their point of contact along all aspects of their recruitment journey
YOU To be successful in the role of a Recruitment Consultant you will need:
- Firstly, you will bring bags of energy and enthusiasm and a real desire to make a difference to someone’s career. We build trusted partnerships and as a Stopgapper you’ll be naturally friendly, positive, driven to succeed and a great team player.
- You will have already built up a strong network in, and knowledge of, the financial services sector and be comfortable filling all marketing roles.
- Comfortable with business development, you will enjoy the cut and thrust of building up both new and existing client relationships.
- You will also have the following skills and attributes:
- Excellent long-term client and candidate relationship skills, with the ability to both coach and negotiate with candidates and clients
- Strong business and commercial acumen and tenacious in your approach
- A demonstrably high degree of ethics and integrity and ability to build trust with people at all levels
- Are a natural juggler, able to multi-task and show initiative
- An honest and open and collaborative working style
You must have native-level English Skills and the right to work in the UK.
