GLL was born 25 years ago when Greenwich Council needed to find a way to run its leisure services after funding cuts.
Initially it started with seven centres in the Greenwich area and now incorporates over 300 centres all across the country.
GLL partners with local authorities to run leisure centres, libraries, spas, event venues as well as world-class sporting venues. Passionate about their thriving communities and making spaces better for everyone it’s about more than just money; it’s about investing back and providing quality community leisure and fitness facilities at a more affordable price. With more than 40 million visitors a year and membership in the hundreds of thousands GLL are going from strength to strength.
