I am a specialist creative recruiter and work with candidates looking for creative and design roles: from brand and packaging to advertising and integrated marketing. I recruit for both permanent and freelance roles for agencies and clientside/in house studios.
I studied Graphic Design and worked as a designer/Art Director for the first 5 years of my career then travelled to NZ. Whilst there I made an unexpected,/sideways move to join a design agency as an account manager. I kept the creative flame alive, working with creative and studio people, sharing my opinion whilst trying not to step on too many toes! I joined Stopgap in Richmond in 2004, to recruit for design and digital account handlers and in 2008 I was lucky to have the opportunity to go to Stopgap Sydney. After 4 wonderful years with Stopgap in Australia I left the business to work in creative recruitment. I have recently re-joined the Stopgap London team to work on the creative desk. All that time in the Antipodes has clearly made me pick up boomerang tendencies.
I am a talented window shopper and can be relied upon if you are stuck with where to find anything, Once an avid reader (novels and magazines), I now find myself far too easily distracted by Netflix and Amazon box sets and movies. I love the fresh air and regularly walk in Bushy and Richmond Parks. The water has always been a draw card and whilst I don’t sail (terrible sea sickness) I am never happier than walking along a coastline somewhere. Bondi to Bronte was special but the Sussex coast will do just fine.
Did I mention my love of coffee? Strong flat white please.
It was a great view down over the beach/water but pretty nerve-wracking going up in in an old Russian propeller plane and a most uncomfortable experience.
