I recently spent 4 years living overseas in New Zealand and in Vancouver, which has definitely given me the bug for travel beyond a traditional beach holiday. At the height of the Spice Girls success, I was asked to create an event to re-launch the BT Shop at Lakeside Shopping Centre. We hired a look-a-like band, ran competitions in all the local press to find ‘junior’ Spice Girls, then crossed our fingers that people would turn up. They did. So many that we almost had to close the Centre for safety reasons!
