As Reception is the “face of Stopgap” I try to provide a warm and positive experience.
For several years I worked as a freelancer for national newspapers, working mainly for Sports Editors and as a result I got to meet some quite famous names in the sporting world. I also worked as a PA for a Public Relations company where I had a great time doing some modelling work for Clients.
One of my great passions is to travel and will often spend many hours looking for luxury holidays, as a result I have visited some great countries including South Africa, which is where my husband is from. I also love sport, and for many years played league netball and until recently tennis, but one of the most daring things I’ve ever done is taking part in a charity bike ride, cycling from Mount Kenya to Lake Victoria for the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. It was the most terrifying and exhilarating thing I have ever done!
One of the many reasons I have stayed at Stopgap for so long, is that we believe in working hard but always make time for fun
Where we would log all calls into a black message book, not having the luxury of a database. We would finish the day on Fridays with a bottle of wine reveling in the excitement of how many CV’s we had received, the best part was if we had received a cheque and being asked to bank it before the bank closed at 3pm.
