| Christine manages to perfectly balance work with play – her friends would describe her as professional, fun and playful. Christine has a passion for tennis, even driving around famous players in order to watch matches for free! When she’s not brushing shoulders with famous sporting stars, Christine is feeding her obsession with crime (reading and watching crime dramas, not committing it), spending days at the seaside and evenings at the theatre. Christine’s other great love is writing. She blogs, writes restaurant reviews which make her the envy of the office for all her free meals, tourist guides and even won a Waterstones essay competition. Christine loves working at Stopgap because of the professionalism and kindness shown by her colleagues and the fact that everyone genuinely roots for their candidates. At the end of a long day, Christine’s happy to come home to her husband and cats, as well as making time to chat to her family in Australia. |

| Caroline is as loyal as they come, which contributes to her being a workaholic! When she can be prised away from her desk, Caroline can be found watching football with hubby Tony, the Chelsea fan. She was very upset when José Mourinho left, as it left her devoid of much-needed eye-candy to get her through the game. Caroline’s true passion, however, lies in watching rugby, although she’s not just a spectator of sport. She gets her exercise by walking and the occasional run. Caroline was once an avid rower, until one fateful day, rowing at Henley. She was so overawed that she nearly took out the women’s Olympic pair on the start line! Our Caroline can’t live without her morning coffee, although she’s trying to wean herself off – not an easy feat in the Stopgap office! Luckily, Caroline has found true friends in her colleagues, so even on her three coffee-less mornings a week, work is still a fun place for her to be! |

| Our personality test showed Claudine to be the entertainer and what more proof do we need that it’s brilliantly accurate? More of a heads up kind of gal, Claudine is fun, loud and has a brilliant dry wit – she can even raise both eyebrows independently to add dramatic effect to a droll quip! Not many people know that Claudine was a budding thespian at university, acting in Chekov classics and even producing a professional play! There’s no end to Claudine’s talents, a grade 5, classically trained singer, Claudine can serenade you in any language (well, in fluent French and Italian at least). These days Claudine loves watching the rugby with her partner, John, swimming and reading a wide range of fiction (captivated by Lord of the Rings as a child, there was no going back), but Claudine’s had her share of thrills! Not many people can say they lived in Bankok for a year! She loved the experience but is happy to be home now with her big family, her friends and her fantastic colleagues… Aaah! |

| Freya has been at Stopgap for an epic ten years – so you know you’re in great hands with her! Healing hands, in fact as Freya also runs ‘Freya Natural Therapy’. Her second job is great for Stopgappers because we benefit from lovely massages after work, but less great because we only get to see the lovely Freya one day a week. When Freya’s not busy ensuring the office stays sleek and shiny with her trademark shampoo, she’s busy treating clients, concocting lovely lotions and potions and relaxing in her Hampshire home with her two cats. Living by the sea is perfect for a keen sailor like Freya, who prefers to sail locally rather than venture abroad these days. Luckily for us, she still pops ashore whenever her jobshare, Caroline, needs her. |

| People born in the Year of the Rabbit are articulate, talented, and ambitious. They are virtuous, reserved, and have excellent taste and it certainly helps explain Helen’s love for vegetables and her passion for Mr Motivator-esque visits to the gym! Thankfully she’s not too much of an over zealous gym fanatic, as is proven by her love for Argentinean red wine! Before joining Stopgap, Helen had a career in retail management and marketing, lived in New Zealand for a year, spent time in Sri Lanka and has had extensively traveled through Asia. This included a terrifying experience in Thailand where she was held at gunpoint going across the border! Coffee, cigarettes, Brazilian party life and of course, red wine, rate highly on Helen’s top likes whereas she detests fast foods, cheap wine, Red Bull and English weather! Oh, and she hates marzipan. |

Back down to earth Jo loves to travel though she hates flying. So she grits her teeth to get to exotic places where she can spend an earthquake in a swimming pool with a dozen floating chickens, or get chased by a snake in a Columbian rain forrest! Naturally, she knew it was going to happen, but went anyway dressed to kill in her trademark 'bling'. |

| Kate joined Stopgap in September 2011 and prior to that she worked in marketing for 15 years. Friends would describe her as supportive, considerate, resourceful and an all round positive person to be with. A real foodie, she loves to cook, eat out, read foodie books and magazines and go to food shows! Luckily this is a big theme at Stopgap so she is in good company and is enjoying working with like minded colleagues who bring in fabulous cakes and other goodies. A graduate trainee at Reckitt Benckiser, Kate worked on Brasso and Harpic and discovered the intricacies of the world of household cleaning products. Her career also spanned a foodie time on Mr Kipling and Cadbury’s cakes and many years of fun and games working at Hasbro on toys, board games like Trivial Pursuit and Pictionary, DVD games and licensed games for wonderful properties such as Disney and Star Wars. Still at Hasbro, Kate moved onto PC & video games for Hasbro Interactive. After a career break to have her two energetic children Megan and Jack, Kate ran her own consultancy and became a coach and NLP Master Practitioner. In life outside Stopgap, she is passionate her family and time with them, skiing, speaking French and Spanish whenever she can, oh and of course food…..and the odd gin and tonic or two. |

Luckily it hasn’t gone to this Oxford grad’s head (French & Spanish), as she has to stay grounded to care for Oliver and Joshua, her lively sons! And despite the lure of the sound stage, Eloise majored in more rewarding activities; such as, teaching English to French teenagers, followed by twelve years in Agency Account management. (Her most interesting client being a Russian bank which enabled her to rediscover her roots in mother Russia.) Eloise hasn’t completely given up the “biz” though, as she does accompany Joshua in his “toddler” singing classes! |

| We don’t know many people who can say they learnt to ski in their parents’ garden, but Bavarian-born Sibylle is one of them! You would think, with such a start in life, that she’d now be a championship skier! Sybille’s actually much happier sitting on a beach, discovering old houses and sites (she does have an MA in History, after all!), or enjoying snuggling down in a cosy country inn. Life hasn’t been too sedate though – when Sibylle came to the UK for the launch of the new MINI, she managed put the car on the stage of a production of 'Hamlet'. But not only that, Georgie has spent the years honing her hockey skills, so if you ever see her running at you with a stick, don’t fret, you’ve probably just caught her at the weekend playing for her local team! When she isn’t out socialising or gallivanting off to the theatre, comedy clubs or gigs, Georgie loves to cook and try new foods. So much so that she’s started growing her own fruit, vegetables and herbs in her garden! Our very own Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. Georgie is also a total sun worshipper, waiting anxiously for the sun to rear its bright head so she can enjoy the summer holidays and sunbathe all day and drink sangria and eat seafood at night. | Claire’s entrepreneurial flair first emerged in her school days when, aged fifteen, she illicitly ran an ear-piercing business in the girls’ toilets! These days her business is legit, but her sense of adventure and eagerness to break the rules hasn’t changed a bit. In fact, Claire shatters every ‘recruitment myth’ in the way she runs Stopgap. Thanks to our guiding principles - integrity, passion, collaboration, daring and agility - the spirit on which Stopgap was founded now runs through everything we do. Claire’s biggest achievement to-date is having a good idea eighteen years ago and gradually turning it into one of the best-loved names in recruitment. Claire hates queueing (which could be seen as a metaphor for her life) and loves the Stopgap social events, her favourite to-date being the boys dressing up as the Spice Girls for her hen party! When she’s not steering her surrogate family here at Stopgap, Claire can be found with her family at home, beating the pros at golf, horse riding and enjoying good food and wine. Willing to try anything, Claire insists there’s no food she doesn’t like, which means plenty of great food at socials and more cake in the office than we know what to do with. Just another perk of Stopgap life! |

Jacqueline’s hobbies range from the safe – gardening in her allotment, to the thrilling: diving! In the office, we prefer the former, as it keeps us in fresh fruit and veg! When she has a spare moment, Jacqueline loves spending time with her two cats, or ‘moggies’ as she fondly calls them, makes her own clothes, and of course works hard at finding people their dream jobs! |

| Fun-loving Lynsey is like a ray of sunshine around our office. Always on hand for a friendly chat, Lynsey has an extraordinary amount of cheer. Lynsey loves to cook, but admits she’s no Nigella. Never mind, what she lacks in the kitchen, she makes up in enthusiasm (and her impeccable taste in outfits). Lynsey has a penchant for sociable bites out at odd times of the day, particularly brunch and afternoon tea – how very British! Our social butterfly loves a bit of a tipple with her friends, which accounts for her bravery in trying new things – the latest being waterskiing. When she’s not working hard, Lynsey can be found hanging out with her family and friends, sitting by the river or cycling around her favourite place – Richmond. |

She is always up for a new adventure and even though she hadn't ridden a bicycle for many years, she took part in a Stopgap cycling challenge from Mount Kenya to Lake Victoria in Africa! Always the embodiment of glamour (she loves her jewellery), Ann always gives our clients and candidates a warm welcome and has done so for fifteen years. In her spare time Ann keeps fit by playing tennis and going to the gym. She enjoys holidays to exotic locations (her favourite being Cuba), and often spends hours on the Internet looking for new places to visit. When Ann’s not jet-setting around the world, she appreciates good food: just watch her eyes light up when you describe a good meal you've had recently! Sally’s a closet writer of short stories and, having had such a fascinating life so far, it makes perfect sense to turn it all into beautiful prose! Sally’s skinny-dipped with dolphins in Florida and has too much fun in her life to even need a television. You’re more likely to find Sally curled up with a good book than watching trash TV! Sally has a lifelong love affair with lipstick and lists it amongst the most important things in her life (after her husband, of course!). It’s not all lipsticks and literature though, Sally recently overcame her childhood fear of cycling on a Stopgap ‘away day’ and hasn’t stopped since – she now cycles to work every day! Sally’s pretty laid back (unless you’re serving her peas or coconut – yuck!) and loves taking her dog for long walks, practicing yoga and going wild swimming in beautiful natural areas. |

| Frankie describes herself as being “home-made.” No, she wasn’t created from a mixture of clay and water, but she has a very “home-made” outlook. She brings her own sandwiches to work, loves pub grub, staying in with the family and playing board games and watching DVDS. Not to mention her love of Christmas, her adoration for baking cookies and cakes, crossword puzzles, dancing the night away…come to think of it, anything nauseating you can think of probably rates quite highly on Frankie’s list! Born and bred in Australia, Frankie misses the sun, beaches and wildlife of OZ, but is acclimatising to English rain. But her passion for history helps as she admires English castles and country cottages so thankfully she’ll be sticking with us! Frankie is also an animal lover, but whilst most people would prefer a cat or a dog, the same can’t be said for Frankie! In fact the camel and giraffe are her favourite, and if it were possible she’d make camp in the Amazon rainforest or the African savannah to live out her days. Frankie also avoids coffee or tea, which at least means one less person to make a drink for in the office. The plus side is that her dazzling smile won’t be tainted! And she smiles. A lot. In fact the office have been issued sunglasses… |

A country girl at heart, Ro originally hails from Devon and loves to return home for wet and windy walks on the coast, sitting on the beach in the sunshine and visiting her family. | Paulo is one of our long and loyals. He has been with Stopgap for over 10 years now, working his way up from within the Finance department through to his current role as Business Insight Manager. He loves his football (a lot – believe us) and can often be found watching his favourite team, Chelsea, playing at Stamford Bridge. With football being an expensive sport to follow, however, he can be found more frequently pacing back and forward in front of Sky Sports, cheering on his team (quite often in fluent Portuguese) and soaking in the atmosphere. Watching football with Paulo feels like actually being at the game as he has more enthusiasm than a whole crowd of fans! When he’s not a spectator, Paulo enjoys playing football and cricket on – as well as igniting football-related debates in the office. |

| Sue may be the only respectable grown-up we know with an undying love for Hello Kitty! She’s often caught sneaking illicitly bought accessories into the office after a lunchtime spree. During our Brighton ‘away day’ Sue was the “sound guy” as she prefers being behind the camera to being in front of it. Don’t be fooled though, she’s no blushing wallflower. With one brown-haired parent and one blonde parent, Sue ended up with blonde eyebrows and brown hair – and, as a result, has become an expert in eyebrow dye! Sue has a genuine phobia of mushrooms (they squeak when you cut them) but if you’re cooking them nearby, she won’t smell them. She rarely has a sense of smell. Occasionally it comes back, temporarily, in time for a quick perfume shop. When she’s not dishing out our pay (making her a very popular lady in the office) Sue’s spending time with her family, walking in the New Forest or glued to Desperate Housewives. | Immediately before joining the Stopgap Group an incredible 13 years ago, Stephen worked in the design department of Tetra Pak the Swedish packaging company, his most well known project being the Mars Milk drink. He’s worn many hats over the years: art teacher; nightclub steward and textile designer. Stephen ran a mail order chocolate company and sold designs to Liberty, John Lewis, and Designed Flooring that received The British Council of Industrial Design Award. In fact, Stephen really has done it all, as he was once interviewed by one of the 'Muppets' when going for a production job with the show. He enjoys listening to rare and hard to find 1960’s music (and once successfully selected music for a slot on BBC Sounds of the 60’s show!), as well as reading biographies, gardening and whenever possible, days out in Brighton. His glass is always half full, and he enjoys life and all it brings. He recently appeared in a Guys and Dolls production (as a guy), which was a great achievement given that he insists he can't dance, act or sing! He loves competition, and has a love for the great outdoors (still burning a candle for a career as a Forest Ranger). He spent 10 years in the Scouting movement, latterly helping to run cub, scout & venture groups, spending nights under the stars in a wannabe tent made out of twigs and fern, learning to boil eggs with nothing more than a paper clip and a self built open fire! His passion beyond all others is his love for his family. He likes nothing more than spending time with his girlfriend, and the 17 other members of the Baillie Clan! | Nina describes herself as a self acclaimed Shopaholic and can be found out and about every lunchtime, eyeing up bargains in Leamington Spa and then consequently hiding her bags from her colleagues, desperately avoiding answering the question 'Is that another bag??' to which most of the time she gives a sparkly smile and makes a quick exit. Nina had a quick five minutes of fame on national television and jokes her famous lifestyle started when she appeared in a local newspaper at the age of 6, when she was told to give a nice big smile to the camera as she declared her love to a local post box and vowed to love and protect it until ‘death do us part!’ They remain happily married! In her spare time, Nina enjoys spending time with her loved ones and settling down to a good DVD, after all shopping can be hard work! |

| With a name like Eatwell, one of Rob’s passions has to be cooking for friends and family, in fact cooking is definitely in the genes as his mother was a runner up on Masterchef! An adventurer by nature, Rob’s spiritual home is in the Alps. Rob loves a bit of adrenalin and is drawn to anything involving snow, water, speed, motors and vertical drops. As a lad Rob often tied a rope to the back of his parents car in the snow to get a bit of “ski speed training.” Clearly no health and safety back in the 80’s! Having won national ski competitions in his teens and competing for the marine cadets he was invited to trial for team GB. Fortunately education got in the way of his racing ambitions, but he is now teaching his wife and two beautiful daughters how to “bend ze knees!” Rob’s other loves include Rugby and fitness training, as well as vegging out watching DVDs when the energy is zapped. Rob and his wife have family in Spain and France and regularly go out to visit - any excuse for some Pomerol or Rioja... |
